Maker at work in a cozy craft studio

The maker behind CraftyKin

Made slowly, on purpose.

Every piece that leaves my hands started as something else — a worn-out shirt, a curtain from a thrift store, a skein of yarn someone no longer needed. I'm a one-person maker with a deep belief that beautiful things shouldn't cost the earth.

How it started

I learned to crochet from my grandmother on a rainy afternoon when I was nine years old. She had a basket of mismatched yarn scraps and a patience I've spent my whole life trying to inherit. That afternoon turned into a lifelong habit.

CraftyKin grew out of a simple frustration: I couldn't find handmade goods that felt genuinely personal without a price tag that felt out of reach. So I started making them myself — and eventually, for others.

Everything I make is one of a kind. I don't use patterns twice. I don't mass-produce. When a piece sells, it's gone — and the next one will be different.

How I work

01

Gather

I source materials from thrift stores, estate sales, and donations. Nothing new if I can help it.

02

Sort & wash

Every fabric and skein gets sorted by weight, texture, and color — then washed and prepared by hand.

03

Make

I work in the early mornings before the house wakes up. No rush, no quota. Just the work.

04

Finish

Each piece is inspected, photographed, and listed individually. What you see is exactly what you get.

What I believe

Nothing wasted

Scraps become trims. Offcuts become patches. I find a use for everything.

Slow is better

I'd rather make one excellent thing than ten rushed ones. Quality over quantity, always.

Honest pricing

My prices reflect real labor and real materials — not a brand premium, not a race to the bottom.
